Hallows Eve - are you ready yet?

Halloween for us in the UK just gets bigger and bigger each year and is widely celebrated, but do you know it's origins?

Halloween's origins can be traced back to the ancient Celtic festival known as Samhain, which was held on November 1 in contemporary calendars.  It was believed that on that day, the souls of the dead returned to their homes, so people dressed in costumes and lit bonfires to ward off spirits.

For some All Hallows' Eve is an opportunity for Christians everywhere to celebrate the work God has done in and through his saints, and that neither their stories or ours will end in the grave.
